Desain, Simulasi dan Evaluasi Biaya Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya 5 MW di Universitas Tadulako menggunakan Pvsyst

Energi matahari (solar) memberikan banyak manfaat bagi kehidupan manusia. Salah satu pemanfaatan energi surya yang dapat diimplementasikan adalah dalam bentuk Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS). Universitas Tadulako berkomitmen untuk melaksanakan PLTS secara mandiri. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan adalah dengan memanfaatkan lahan yang luas sebagai lahan PLTS yang saling terhubung, yang sering disebut dengan PLTS on-grid atau grid-connected. PLTS on-grid merupakan sistem PLTS yang terhubung dengan jaringan distribusi PLN. Pada sistem ini, jaringan listrik PLN berperan sebagai penyalur atau penyambung arus listrik yang berasal dari panel surya yang disalurkan ke beban. Dari hasil pengukuran diketahui luas lahan kosong Universitas Tadulako menurut masterplan UNTAD sekitar 5 hektar. Melalui software PVSyst total daya yang dihasilkan oleh PV sebesar 5544 kWp dan total daya inverter sebesar 4620 kWac dengan total PV terpasang sebanyak 10080 panel. Panel tersebut terhubung dengan 42 inverter. Setiap satu unit inverter mempunyai 12 string dan setiap string pada inverter terdiri dari 20 panel surya. Dari hasil tersebut, investasi sistem PLTS di Universitas Tadulako diperkirakan mencapai Rp. 75.907.251.114,00.
