Analisis Stabilitas Sistem Kendali Linier Menggunakan Routh-Hurwitz dan Nyquist dengan Implementasi MATLAB: Studi Kasus pada Sistem Otomasi

Stabilitas merupakan aspek fundamental dalam sistem kendali linier, yang menentukan apakah sistem akan merespons input secara terkendali atau tidak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan efektivitas dua metode klasik analisis kestabilan, yaitu Routh-Hurwitz dan Nyquist, dalam mengevaluasi sistem kendali linier berbasis fungsi alih. Satu model sistem uji digunakan untuk menguji keandalan kedua metode dalam simulasi MATLAB. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa metode Routh-Hurwitz secara cepat mengklasifikasikan kestabilan melalui tabel evaluasi, ditandai dengan tidak adanya perubahan tanda pada kolom pertama, yang mengindikasikan sistem stabil. Sementara itu, metode Nyquist menunjukkan kurva yang tidak mengelilingi titik kritis –1, menandakan bahwa sistem dalam kondisi stabil. Kedua metode memberikan hasil yang konsisten, Routh-Hurwitz lebih unggul dalam efisiensi numerik pada sistem orde rendah, sedangkan Nyquist menyajikan visualisasi margin kestabilan yang lebih komprehensif. Dengan demikian, kombinasi keduanya dalam lingkungan MATLAB memberikan pendekatan yang komplementer dalam analisis kestabilan sistem kendali linier.
