Archiving Policy

OJS supports LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe), a system designed for the permanent and secure archiving of journals. LOCKSS is open-source software developed at Stanford University Libraries that enables libraries to preserve selected journal websites by regularly gathering newly published content from registered journal sites and archiving it. Each archive is continuously validated against other library caches, and if content is found to be corrupted or lost, other caches or journals are used to restore it.
