Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The Teknika journal has a minimum requirement of 1 author and a maximum of 5 authors
  • Submission files are in document file format (doc, docx.), following the author's guidelines and article template. Make sure you use Mendeley or the References feature in Ms. Word to help in writing references.
    Failure to follow the guidelines may result in the rejection of your manuscript.
  • Please ensure that the author understands and follows these requirements before proceeding with the next steps in article submission.
    The submission has not previously been published or is not before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
    Authors are bound by our Plagiarism Policy, therefore careful consideration should be made before submitting an article. In any event that Teknika finds an article that has been or is published elsewhere that is identical to one published in Teknika, we will retract the article following COPE guidelines on retracting articles and notifying the author.

Author Guidelines

GUIDE FOR WRITERS Teknika (Journal of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Islam Lamongan)

Jurnal Teknika: Journal of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Islam Lamongan which includes articles in the fields of Information Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. This journal accepts articles from various groups, including lecturers, practitioners, academics, and researchers from inside and outside the Universitas Islam Lamongan.

Procedure for Submitting Manuscripts : the author sends the manuscript in the form of an electronic file by uploading it via the user page on the login menu on the Online Journal System (OJS). After the review process by Bestari partners, the manuscript will be returned for revision, rejected, or accepted without revision. The revised results are immediately sent back to the editor via the user page.

Format: manuscript written in Indonesian using standard language rules. The writer can adjust the writing format to the template provided. Download

Systematics: Title, Abstract, Introduction, Methodology, Results & Discussion, Conclusion, Suggestions (if necessary), Acknowledgments (if necessary), and Bibliography.

Title: Concise, clear, and showing a study/analysis of the problem/topic being studied, maximum 15 words, font size 14 and bold. (adjust to template rules)

Attributes: Author's name & institution, contact address (tel. /Fax./email). Written under the title.

Abstract: Written in Indonesian and English with 1 (one) space between lines; written in one paragraph (150-250 words) which includes: background, objectives and/or scope of research, methods used, summary of results/findings and conclusions.

Keywords: written separately 1 space below the abstract, important words/terms/understandings maximum 6 words.

Introduction: briefly explains the general background of the study, contains the State of the Art to justify or strengthen the statement of novelty or significance or scientific contribution or originality of this article and there must be references to articles from journals from the last 10 years that strengthen the justification for the originality or contribution. In scientific manuscript format, literature reviews are not permitted as in research reports.

Before writing the purpose of the study, there must be a clear and explicit Gap Analysis or gap statement (originality) or novelty statement, or the unique differences of this research when compared with previous studies, as well as in terms of whether the research is important or not. done. The research objectives are written directly and clearly. NOT like this (Based on this background, this is the aim of this research).

Methodology: a brief explanation of the problem, materials or instruments and methods used.

Results and Discussion: presentation of results and discussion in a coherent and comprehensive manner and leading to problem solving. Results and Discussion should at least include: (1). (what/how element) has the data presented been processed (not raw data), presented in the form of a table or image (choose one), and given information that is easy to understand? Write down the findings, but don't discuss them in this section; (2). (why element) in the discussion section does it appear that there is a connection between the results obtained and the basic concept and/or hypothesis? The discussions made must be supported by real and clear facts; and (3) (what else element) is there any conformity or conflict with the results of other people's research?

Conclusion: the conclusion is written, briefly, and systematically and answers the problem or objective.

Acknowledgment (optional).

Bibliography: the systematics of writing a bibliography by APA style 6th edition with a minimum of 80% of references coming from primary literature/scientific journals.
