Journal History

Jurnal teknika is a scientific journal published by the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Islam Lamongan (Lamongan Islamic University), Indonesia. The journal publishes original scientific articles presenting research findings, experimental results, and technological developments in informatics engineering and related fields. Its primary objective is to disseminate scientific knowledge, promote innovation, and provide valuable references for researchers, academics, and practitioners. Jurnal Teknika has been available online since 2016.

In 2018, Jurnal teknika received SINTA 5 accreditation, beginning with Volume 10, Number 1. This accreditation remained valid through Volume 14, Number 2 (2022). As part of its commitment to improving publication quality and visibility, the journal has continuously enhanced its editorial standards, article templates, manuscript presentation, and indexing coverage.

In 2022, Jurnal teknika achieved SINTA 3 accreditation, effective from Volume 14, Number 2. This achievement reflects the journal's ongoing efforts to strengthen its editorial management, publication quality, and dissemination of scholarly work. The journal continues to improve its publication standards and article templates in accordance with its editorial policies and accreditation requirements.

In October 2024, Jurnal teknika was indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), further expanding the visibility and accessibility of its published articles.

Starting with Volume 18, Number 1 (2026), Jurnal teknika publishes 14 articles per issue to help reduce the publication backlog and provide authors with more timely publication opportunities. The journal accepts manuscripts written in either Indonesian or English.

Jurnal teknika remains committed to maintaining publication quality, strengthening its editorial practices, and supporting the dissemination of scientific research in informatics engineering and related disciplines.
